Evergreen Grass Band – Blister Rust (2015)

Deep in the Northwoods of Wisconsin a group of pissed off bluegrass pickers decided they wanted to change bluegrass for all mankind.Bringing an energetic and original act to any place they play, the EverGreen Grass Band has been winning ears and hearts alike with their straight-forward, face-melting ungrass songs, toe-tappin country tunes and original grass arrangements of covers in any genre. Always creating a good-time, drink ’em down atmosphere, the EverGreen Grass Band bring with them a genre-defying sound, a dedication to their live shows and an earnest understanding of what entertainment really is.

Archie and The Bunkers – Archie and The Bunkers (2015)

Archie and The Bunkers is an American rock’n’roll duo formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2013. The group consists of teenage brothers Emmett (drum/vocals) and Cullen O’Connor (keys/vocal). The pair began recording music in their basement self-producing their first two EPs (Comrade X, 2013, and Trade Winds, 2014). The band’s raw garage punk sound draws heavily from Cullen’s melding of divergent musical styles. Influences range from jazz organ greats like Jimmy Smith and Richard “Groove” Holmes, to punk icons Dead Boys, The Stooges, The Screamers, and more.

Frank Zappa – Roxy The Movie (2015)

Filmed over three nights in December of 1973 at the Roxy Theater in Hollywood, California, Roxy The Movie is the long awaited video companion to the beloved Roxy & Elsewhere live album from Frank Zappa & The Mothers. Sitting tucked away in the vaults for over four decades, the Zappa Estate and Eagle Rock are finally giving fans what they have been asking for, and believe me, it was well worth the wait. Available in both DVD and Blu-ray formats, both with a companion soundtrack CD, Roxy-The Movie is a document of perhaps Frank Zappa’s most accomplished band, which included George Duke (keyboards, vocals), Bruce Fowler (trombone), Napoleon Murphy Brock (sax, flute, vocals), Ruth Underwood (percussion, vibes), Tom Fowler (bass), Ralph Humphrey (drums), and Chester Thompson (drums).

Jeremy Nash – Getaway Driver (2015)

Nash credits the raw, emotional elements in his songwriting to years of listening to Counting Crows and Ryan Adams. His authentic lyrics and catchy tunes also bring to mind bits of Jackson Browne and Paul Simon- not a bad combo. After spending close to a decade in New York City’s folk scene, a move was made to Nashville where he has the ability to truly shine as a writer and performer. Following 2012’s debut, Too Far Apart, Nash wanted to dig deeper into his feelings and depict 21st century experiences through anxieties, isolation, and our longing for human connection. Getaway Driver is the result.

Gentlemans Pistols – Hustler’s Row (2015)

There’s a certain symmetry to Gentlemans Pistols’ albums. Their self-titled debut was released in 2007, four years after they formed in Leeds. In 2011, the band’s second album, ‘At Her Majesty’s Pleasure’, came out – four years after the first one. And now in 2015 comes third album ‘Hustler’s Row’ – after another four year gap! Recorded at vocalist / guitarist James Atkinson own studio, Mutiny, in Bradford, with the frontman also producing, many of the songs were written not long after the second album. The album’s sound comes from the dual guitar work between Atkinson and Bill Steer (also a member of Carcass, of course), which brings to mind classic Wishbone Ash.
